Use the CATIA_create_dataset_on_foreignfile_ir preference to check whether the item revision contains a valid foreign file before creating a CATProduct dataset.
This preference is false, by default, indicating a CATProduct dataset will not be created, even when the item revision contains a valid foreign file. Set this preference to true to create a CATProduct dataset when a valid foreign file is found.

Creating datasets for CATProducts is also affected by the value of CATIA_customize_load_process.
When the value of CATIA_customize_load_process is 0:
a CATProduct dataset can only be created under an item revision which has a CATIA BVR but does not have a CATProduct or CATPart dataset.
When the value of CATIA_customize_load_process is 1:
a CATProduct dataset can only be created for an item revision which does not have a CATProduct or CATPart dataset.
Define the dataset type used by the Integration to manage CATProduct files.

The default value is CATProduct.
Use the following preferences to define a list of item types to use during the save process.
The default value of the item type is determined as follows:
When the item type is defined then the item type used is the first listed in the preference list. The Save Manager only displays the available (defined) item types.
When the item type preference is not defined, a list of all item types available in Teamcenter displays, and the default item type is defined by the CATIA_item_type Teamcenter Preference. If this type is not available then the first item type in Teamcenter list is the default item type.
When Create New is applied from the Save Manager, the displayed item type is the existing item type. If this type is not available, then default values are used.
Multiple values are permitted.
