Use Convert to JT from the CATIAV5 menu to convert saved documents (item, item revision and/or dataset) to JT and to display the JT panel.
Multi-selection is supported. Invalid selections (for example, empty CATPart datasets) are ignored and become unselected during the conversion process.
When converting a CATProduct containing a sub-assembly, the selected CATProduct and every item of its sub-assembly will be converted.

| Item Revision with BOMView | All CATPart datasets and Alternate Shape Representation datasets and foreign file datasets linked to the item revision are converted to JT files only when their dataset types have been defined in the COMMONcatiatojt_ets_ds_types preference. |
| Item Revision with CATPart Dataset | The CATPart dataset and all Alternate Shape Representation datasets linked to the selected dataset are converted to JT files only when their datast types have been defined in the COMMONcatiatojt_ets_ds_types preference. |
| Item Revision with Foreign File Dataset | Foreign files datases are converted to JT files only only when their dataset types have been defined in the COMMONcatiatojt_ets_ds_types or COMMONcatiatojtV4_ets_ds_types preference. |
| Dataset of CATProduct | The item revision of the selected dataset is converted to JT files as if the selection was an Item Revision with CATPart Dataset (see above). |
| Dataset of CATPart | The selected dataset and all linked Alternate Shape Representation datasets are converted to JT files. |
