Reuse Synchronization Pairs as global templates

Synchronization Pairs can be configured globally for an entire repository. When created in the global scope, they become Synchronization Pair Templates, that can be reused in different projects. Each Synchronization Pair Template must use an existing Connection Template. You can create entirely new Synchronization Pair Templates, or save any existing project-scope Synchronization Pair configuration as a global Synchronization Pair Template.

To create an entirely new Synchronization Template, follow the same steps as outlined in Create Synchronization Pair, but open the Repository rather then a project.

Tip:

You need global administrator permissions for this configuration.

To reuse and existing Synchronization Pair as a global Synchronization Pair Template:

  1. Open a project in which some Synchronization Pair is configured that you want to reuse in a global template, and enter Administration.

  2. In Navigation, expand Connectors and select Settings.

    The Connectors administration page opens.

  3. Open the desired Synchronization Pair for editing.

  4. Use the drop-down control near the Save button, and select Save As.

  5. In the Save Synchronization Pair Configuration dialog box, select the Create new configuration option, and in the Scope field, select Global.

  6. Specify an ID for the new Synchronization Pair configuration and click Save.

  7. The Synchronization Pair is saved as a template and now appears in the Synchronization Pairs table of the Connectors page in Global Administration.
