Text for dimensions, notes and labels can be controlled by placing control characters and/or text between a less than sign and a greater than sign respectively. The less than and greater than signs are also referred to as angle brackets.
In this section the symbols < and > represent the less than and greater than symbols respectively. If you wish to use the angle brackets as text characters instead of as control characters, then precede the angle brackets with a dollar sign ($). For example, the following command displays the string <note>.
NOTE/0,0,'$<note$>'
Drop line, base line, waist line and cap lines are imaginary lines relative to the text. These lines were established when the font was created.
