Data Model
This section describes the data model used for functions that query
or modify IMAN database objects. This is phrased in the same terms used
in the NX user interface for NX Manager. Figure 1-1 shows the
relationship between database objects in NX Manager. There are a number
of points to note about this data model:
- Folders provide a method of grouping and organizing data in IMAN.
A folder may contain a number of other folders, and/or it may contain some
parts.
- A part has at least one part revision.
- A part revision has exactly one master part file.
- A part revision may have one or more non-master part files.
- Both master and non-master part files may have any number of dependent
files, for example shaded image files and Manufacturing-related files,
associated with them.
