CI/CD Jenkins overview

Polarion supports Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) technology by means of a Connector that administrators can configure to connect to, and exchange data with a remote CI/CD system. This enables Polarion to launch builds and tests that are performed by external an application (Jenkins), and to import build and test results.

The feature requires several configuration procedures to set up.

• Configure connections and builds. You can either do this via the Polarion user interface, or in the relevant XML configuration file in the Subversion repository.

• Configure Workflows to trigger builds are part of the overall process for Work Items and/or Test Runs.

• Configure import of test results, so that traceability to relevant Polarion artifacts is created and maintained.

• Configure regular scheduling of builds.
