GantryLoader

The object GantryLoader provides a simple way of providing machines with parts, which are located on a single axis. The gantry is placed along the axis of the machines to be provided with parts. The gantry loader does not move perpendicular to the gantry bridge. On the gantry bridge one or several gantry slides can move along the gantry bridge. The gantry slide moves horizontally along the gantry bridge. On the gantry slide, a gantry arm is located that moves vertically up and down.

The loader itself is a unit consisting of the gantry slide, the gantry arm, and the gripper.

The gantry slide moves to the positions, picks a part up with the gantry arm, drives this part to the unloading place, and deposits the part there. The most common usage for gantry loader systems is to provide machines with parts and to remove parts from the machines. In your simulation model the pick-up and deposit points have to be directly located below the gantry axis so that parts can be picked up or deposited.

For simple driving order for the GantryLoader you can move a part with the command move(GantryLoader). You have to set the attribute Destination for the MU so that the portal knows the destination for the MU. The portal then drives to the part, picks it up and transports it to the designated destination. The move command always applies to the first portal.
