Importing Data for the Simulation

When you create your simulation model, you will work with data provided by the departments of the plant you are modeling, such as production lists, data, which machines output, etc. As a rule you will import this data from a spreadsheet program, such as Microsoft Excel, or from a database, into an Tecnomatix Plant Simulation list or table. From the data bulk you will have to filter out the data you actually do need to use for your simulation project. The material flow objects can then access these lists and use the data for the simulation.

Note:

We renamed the list objects in Plant Simulation version 14.2. Now the names of the list objects correspond to the names of the data types.

As we created some of the models for the Online Help in previous versions, some of the screenshots still show the previous names of the objects.

Naturally you may also want to export some or all of the data, which the simulation runs created, so that you can use and manipulate it in other programs.
