Accessing model data from MES
Technical information about a process element is available from your MES application with custom commands. This access is beneficial to certain users, such as employees on the shop floor who need to access technical information about a process element. The customization allows you to directly access the process element page URL.

The first time you access the link, you must provide a username and password, provided by your administrator.
After you select the custom link, a limited UI provides access to the model views associated with the process element.
If the preference NGP_EWI_ShowModelViewsFromActivityLevel is set to True, all of the model views in the activity in which the process element is contained are shown. For more information about model views, see the documentation for model views.
When you select a model view, the 2D views of the model display. You can use the controls at the top of the view window to change between various 2D views and pan the current view.
In the right-hand portion of the screen, the design components associated with the process element are visible and can be searched.
