Add a plant structure to the BOE

Add a plant structure and work areas to the bill of equipment (BOE).

  1. Create or open a work package.

  2. In the Plant tile, click Create Plant.

  3. In the Name box, type the name you want to use.

    (Optional) Type additional information in the Description box.

  4. Click Create.

    The new plant is displayed in the Plant tile.

  5. In the Plant tile, click Open .

  6. Click Add Workarea .

  7. Select a work area type from the list, and click Next.

  8. In the Name box, type the name you want to use.

  9. (Optional) Type additional information in the Description box.

  10. (Optional) Create additional work areas, and subtypes for each work area to finish authoring the BOE.

    Note:

    Use the copy and paste commands to use a single station under multiple process lines.

Next, you perform a classification search and assign resources to a work area.
